Getting a shop up, and running
Making the soap is the easy part. getting a shop, and website up, and running is a whole other kettle of fish. I will certainly have some odd bits here, and there whilst I get things sorted out, and I hope you will all find it amusing.
lets jump right in, and talk about the soap I make, and how i got started.
My interest in making soap is a direct result of a bout with insomnia. In the hopes of getting back to sleep I began watching Youtube videos, and suddenly found myself on a soap making tutorial. The person teaching, Elly of ''Elly's Everyday'', was captivating, and i never did get back to sleep.
I binged watched dozens of her tutorials, and then explored other videos from different soap makers. I was Hooked. Other than the lye I had all the ingredients to get started. My first batch of soap, not surprisingly, would be a pine tar soap.
Once the lye was obtained, and all the needed equipment, I donned my goggles, and rubber gloves, and began making my very first batch of cold process soap.
